meditation

Meditating is trendy these days. Why? Because we need meditation. Us humans have been caught up with our distractions in our “modern society” that it’s no longer natural to be with ourselves and go within. It is a practice — and with any habit it takes commitment to make it routine. If you’re new to meditation, discover a type of meditation that might speak to you at this time. Build up a few types of practices to choose from in the moment. Some types are: breath-focused, object-focused, visualisation, contemplative, guided/non-guided, mantra-based (TM or vedic, metta, chanting), movement-based, and nidra (NSDR).I personally do not follow a particular style or tradition. But I do live a life that is mindful… linking meditative moments of different kinds throughout my day.See the link below for a link to a guided meditation focusing on your breath.
yoga

Yogic asana or postures were created to facilitate focused attention and meditation. Yoga is not only about the physical body — it’s an opportunity to go within and reconnect.Yin yoga and restorative yoga practices also have calming effects on our nervous systems. In yin yoga we hold poses anywhere from 2-7 minutes depending on the pose. We create tension and compress certain areas targeting the meridians or energy channels which are housed in our fascia. In restorative yoga, we are in the same supportive shape from 10-15 minutes so that the body (and mind) can fully relax and balance can be restored.I passionately teach these two styles of yoga as well as yoga supportive of peri-menopause and menopause symptoms and life stage.
retreat

Past retreat participants have told me that I was born to do this. And — humbly — I agree. I truly can see how all of my life experiences have led me to being a retreat facilitator.Retreat with me! I will announce here and on Instagram as to my next retreats coming up.Interested in booking me as a guest as part of your own retreat (yoga, meditation, labyrinth, holistic nutrition, decluttering, etc.)?
